Pagers and DECT phones
Traditional systems are expensive to maintain, do not scale and lack integration with smartphones. The result: delayed responses and unnecessary risk.
Built for care providers
Daza sensors detect a call, a resident getting out of bed or a door opening. The alert arrives immediately on the right caregiver’s smartphone. And in the web portal you can see how often, where and when alarms occur. No pagers and no delay.
Background
Nurse call is a system that lets residents in care facilities raise the alarm in an emergency, and lets caregivers receive these alerts immediately and act on them. A well-functioning nurse call system combines sensors in the resident’s living environment with software that sends alerts to the right caregiver: at the right time, in the right place. Together, nurse call and assistive care technology form one intelligent safety net, from signal to action.
A modern nurse call system registers a call, for example a press on a pendant or wrist transmitter or a sensor detecting that a resident is getting up, and forwards it in real time. With Daza Connect this happens through an app on the caregiver’s smartphone, with central logging and management in a web portal. This way the right caregiver receives the alert immediately, without a pager or DECT phone.
Nurse call comes in two forms. With active alarming, the resident presses a button themselves, for example on the pendant. With passive alarming, sensors take over the detection: an infrared bed sensor that notices someone getting out of bed, or a door sensor that detects the resident leaving the room. Daza Connect supports both forms in one system.
The nurse call challenge
Pagers, DECT phones and manual record-keeping no longer fit the way care works today.
Traditional systems are expensive to maintain, do not scale and lack integration with smartphones. The result: delayed responses and unnecessary risk.
Who responds to which alarm? Without central logging, caregivers are always one step behind, resulting in duplicated effort or missed care.
How long did it take before an alert was picked up? Which ward has the most calls? Without data, improvement remains guesswork.
Daza sensors
Wireless sensors for calls, motion detection and door monitoring. Every signal arrives immediately in the app and the web portal. Choose a situation and see which sensor fits.
Six sensors, one system. Choose a situation above.
A press of the button sends an alarm immediately. The resident wears it around the neck or on the wrist.
Always with the resident
Infrared bed sensor. As soon as a resident puts their feet on the floor, the alarm is raised: before they stand up, and therefore before a fall.
Beside the bed
Infrared bed scanner that raises an alarm as soon as a resident moves to the edge of the bed or gets out of bed. You decide when the alarm is raised.
At the edge of the bed
Raises an alarm when a door or window opens. This way you know when a resident leaves the room.
On a door or window
Permanently mounted alarm button in a central place. One press immediately sends an alert to the right caregiver.
In the corridor, the living room or beside the bed
Alarm switch with a cord. Can also be operated when the button is not in view.
Bathroom, toilet or beside the bed
The sensors work via a gateway in the building. You connect it to a power socket and a fixed internet connection; one or more gateways cover the entire building.
All Daza sensors connect directly to the Daza Connect app and the web portal. Ready to use quickly, without a complex roll-out. View the full product range at daza.nl.
Request specificationsNurse call app
The Daza Connect app is intuitive, fast and works on any Android smartphone. Caregivers have mastered it within a single shift.
Immediately after logging in, the caregiver selects the location or ward. This way the system always knows who is responsible for which location or ward.
The overview shows all open and cleared alarms. View the details of an alarm with one tap, then clear it with one tap.
From the home screen, the caregiver can adjust the monitoring at any time, without logging in again. Sensors are added via the Devices tab.
Web portal and insight
In the web portal you can see all alarms, caregivers, locations and sensors in one place, from any browser. And you gain insight: how often alarms occur, where, when and how quickly they were picked up.
How the nurse call app works
Daza Connect is designed so that caregivers can get started straight away. The app automatically guides the caregiver through the right steps.
The caregiver logs in with a personal account. Secure and immediately available on any Android smartphone.

The app shows all open and cleared alarms for the chosen location or ward. One tap for the details, one tap to clear.
Benefits of nurse call
More than software: a noticeable difference in everyday care.
Alerts reach the right caregiver directly on the smartphone. No detours, no missed pager calls: action at the moment it matters.
Clarity about who picks up what, less walking and automatic logging. Caregivers have more time left for personal care.
Door sensors, bed sensors and pendant and wrist transmitters in one system. Residents know that help is always within reach, including at night.
Reports show response times, peak hours and alarm patterns. Make targeted adjustments based on facts, not gut feeling.
The platform works entirely over the internet. It comes with its own easy-to-use management function, which requires no in-depth technical knowledge.
From a single location to a large care organisation with multiple sites: Daza Connect grows with you, without additional systems.
Nurse call for care facilities
Daza Connect is designed for care organisations that want to modernise their alarm systems, from nursing homes to home care organisations.
Problem: traditional call systems scale poorly across multiple wards and lack integration with smartphones.
Solution: central alarm management with pendant and wrist transmitters, infrared bed sensors and door sensors, all in one clear system.
Result: faster response times, clarity on the floor and day and night monitoring, plug and play.
Problem: in an emergency, residents who live independently have to be reached remotely.
Solution: alarms via pendant and wrist transmitters, immediately visible on the community nurse’s smartphone.
Result: quickly on the scene, even outside office hours, without a detour via a central alarm centre.
Problem: at night, one caregiver monitors several wards and lacks context when an alert comes in.
Solution: location-specific alarms with ward information directly on the smartphone.
Result: calm and a clear overview for night staff working alone, with automatic logging for the handover.
Problem: a need for flexible monitoring for each resident.
Solution: a complete package of easy-to-use call, motion and door sensors for different target groups, all in one app.

FAQ
Daza Connect is a smart nurse call system that delivers real-time alarms straight to caregivers’ smartphones. It consists of wireless sensors from Daza, an app for caregivers and a web portal for administrators.
Daza Connect then repeats the alert and escalates the alarm according to your organisation’s settings.
Pendant and wrist transmitters, the Optiscan and Bedscan at the bedside, door sensors, panic buttons and pull cords from Daza.
On any Android smartphone. Caregivers use a shared or a personal smartphone, which can also be used for other applications. This way the caregiver only needs to carry one device.
Within one day. The gateway is placed in a central spot in the building, sensors are paired via the app, the app can be installed straight away and the web portal is accessible from any browser.
Pricing is tailored and depends on the number of locations, caregivers and sensors. There is a fixed amount for purchasing the gateway and sensors; the other costs are covered by a monthly licence.
Active alarming requires an action by the resident, such as pressing the pendant or wrist transmitter. Passive alarming works automatically through sensors, such as a bed sensor that notices someone getting up or a door sensor that notices a resident leaving the room. Daza Connect supports both.
Yes. Daza Connect is hosted entirely in the European Union, and all data is securely stored and processed there.
By sending alerts only to the caregivers who are responsible for the ward concerned. Everyone can see who has cleared which alarm: no duplicate responses, no unnecessary walking.
Daza Connect has been developed with information security as a priority. Data is stored encrypted and processed on servers in the European Union, with privacy by design and by default, such as segregation of duties and access rights through an authorisation matrix.
A pager system only tells you that something is happening somewhere. Daza Connect sends the alert to the right caregiver, with the location, room, alarm type and name of the resident, on the smartphone they already carry. Result: faster response, less walking and automatic logging.
